Line Haul Team (For Executive to Manager Role)
Linehaul Operations Manager:
Oversees the overall line haul operations, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Linehaul Analyst:
Analyzes data, identifies bottlenecks, and develops solutions to improve performance. Linehaul Planners:
Develop and optimize routes, considering factors like distance, traffic, and delivery schedules. Linehaul Support Teams:
Provide support for various aspects of line haul operations, such as vendor management and central monitoring. Line Haul Coordinators:
Vendor Management: Negotiate rates and maintain relationships with independent contractors and purchased power providers.
Load Management: Broadcast loads, negotiate rates, and post loads to settlement.
Route Optimization: Plan efficient routes to maximize utilization of resources.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor the execution of load plans and service levels.
Communication and Coordination: Coordinate with other teams and stakeholders.
Issue Resolution: Advise dispatch of delays or issues and ensure proper handoffs.
Central Planning Team (For Executive to Manager Role)
1. Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Developing comprehensive project plans and schedules that outline tasks, timelines, and dependencies.
- Defining project milestones and deliverables, ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives.
- Utilizing planning tools and software to create and manage schedules effectively.
- Attending meetings with stakeholders to discuss project plans, address changes, and ensure everyone is on the same page.
2. Resource Allocation:
- Identifying and allocating necessary resources, including personnel, equipment, materials, and budget.
- Optimizing resource utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Coordinating resource availability and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
3. Monitoring and Reporting:
- Tracking project progress against established plans and schedules.
- Identifying potential risks and issues, and developing mitigation strategies.
- Providing regular reports to stakeholders on project status, highlighting key performance indicators and potential deviations from the plan.

4. Coordination and Communication:

First Mile & Last Mile Team (For Executive to Manager Role)
First Mile Operations Roles and Responsibilities:
Origin Management:
Ensuring timely and efficient pickup of goods from the supplier or manufacturer. Transportation Coordination:
Coordinating with carriers for the transportation of goods to the designated hub. Route Optimization:
Planning efficient routes to minimize transit time and costs. Inventory Management:
Tracking and managing inventory as it moves from the origin to the hub. Data Collection and Analysis:
Gathering data on dispatch times, inward and outward shipments, and any issues like damage or expiry. Quality Control:
Ensuring proper packaging and handling of goods at the origin. Communication:
Maintaining clear communication with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams. Issue Resolution:
Addressing any delays or issues that arise during the first mile process. Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards for transportation and handling. Technology Integration:
Utilizing technologies like Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and real-time tracking to optimize processes.
Last Mile Operations Roles and Responsibilities:
Customer Delivery:
Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to the customer's doorstep. Route Optimization:
Planning optimal delivery routes to minimize travel time and distance. Delivery Scheduling:
Coordinating delivery times with customers. Order Tracking:
Providing real-time tracking information to customers and internal teams. Proof of Delivery:
Obtaining proof of delivery confirmation.Customer Communication:
Communicating with customers about delivery status and any potential delays. Issue Resolution:
Addressing any delivery-related issues like missed deliveries, damages, or returns. Customer Satisfaction:
Focusing on providing a positive delivery experience to enhance customer satisfaction. Fleet Management:
Managing the delivery fleet and ensuring vehicle maintenance. Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Reverse Logistics:
Managing returns and exchanges effectively. Performance Analysis:
Analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement in last-mile operations. Team Management:
Managing a team of drivers, dispatchers, and support staff.
Control Tower Team (for Executive to Manager)
Monitoring and Tracking:
The team continuously monitors operations, tracking shipments, orders, and inventory levels in real-time. Data Collection and Analysis:
They gather and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, predict potential issues, and assess performance metrics. Exception Management:
Proactive identification and resolution of deviations from planned operations, such as delays, disruptions, or unexpected events, are crucial. Coordination and Communication:
The team facilitates communication and collaboration between different stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, and internal teams. Decision Making and Optimization:
Based on data analysis and real-time information, the team makes informed decisions to optimize logistics, transportation, and other relevant processes. Reporting and Documentation:
They generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and document processes and procedures for future reference. Compliance and Risk Management:
The team ensures adherence to relevant regulations and policies and identifies and mitigates potential risks.
Preferred candidate profile
- Any UG / PG Can apply.
- 2 - 13 years of relevant work experience in Ecommerce, Manufacturing, FMCG, Analytics, Consulting.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, communication skills and teamwork.
- Knowledge of Network & supply planning , supply chain operations, inventory planning, demand forecasting, Control tower functions, Line haul functions is plus
- Hands-on experience with automation and capabilities in R/Python and SQL.
- Ability to influence stakeholders
