Role Overview

• The

  Head (Purchase)

  will be responsible for formulating & leading the company's overall sourcing & procurement strategy, with a primary focus on Electrical Electronics & Electromechanical Components.
• This leadership role demands end-to-end oversight of the procurement function including supplier development, strategic sourcing, cost optimization, supply chain efficiency, compliance & digital transformation.
• The ideal candidate will combine deep domain knowledge with strong leadership, analytical & cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations or Materials Management (preferred).
• 1525 years of progressive experience in Procurement / Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 57 years in a leadership role overseeing strategic sourcing in manufacturing.
• Strong exposure to Electrical / Electronic / Electro Mechanical components sourcing is a must.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Leadership

• Define, develop, & execute the overall procurement strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead category management for key materials including Electrical, Electronic & Electromechanical Components.
• Establish long-term sourcing strategies for critical components & global vendor development.

Supplier Management & Development

• Identify, evaluate, & onboard world-class suppliers to ensure quality, cost & delivery performance.
• Foster strategic partnerships with key suppliers to enable innovation & risk mitigation.
• Drive global sourcing initiatives & alternate vendor strategies.
• Cost Optimization & Commercial Excellence
• Lead high-value negotiations to achieve cost savings, value creation & supply assurance.
• Implement total cost of ownership (TCO) & should-cost modeling for informed decision- making.
• Continuously benchmark prices & practices against global standards.
• Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality & Finance to maintain optimum inventory levels & ensure timely procurement.
• Support S&OP initiatives & improve procurement responsiveness to demand fluctuations.

Digitalization & Process Excellence

• Drive digital procurement transformation through ERP & procurement tools (SAP/Oracle).
• Improve procurement analytics, dashboards & real-time reporting for strategic decision- making.
• Lead process standardization, automation & Continuous Improvement (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma)

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory, commercial, & ethical procurement practices.
• Oversee contract management, documentation, audits, & risk mitigation frameworks.

Leadership &Talent Development

• Lead, mentor & build a high-performing procurement team.
• Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, & continuous learning within the function
