Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry and dessert operations. The ideal candidate should have advanced culinary expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to design innovative desserts while maintaining consistent quality, presentation, and taste.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily pastry and bakery production, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Develop new dessert concepts, seasonal menus, and innovative recipes.
  • Plan and prepare pastries, cakes, breads, and specialty items.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control of raw materials.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate pastry team members.
  • Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards as per food regulations.
  • Ensure consistent portioning, presentation, and timely production.
  • Coordinate with executive chef and management for menu planning and events.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Manage production schedules for high-volume orders, events, and catering.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, or Baking.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of pastry experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/head role.
  • Strong creativity in dessert design, flavor pairings, and presentation.
  • Expertise in cakes, pastries, bakery items, artisan desserts, and modern techniques.
  • Knowledge of cost control, inventory, and kitchen management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
