The company supplies valves in carbon steel, stainless steel, and other specialty grades. Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Quality Control located in Coimbatore, India. The Head of Quality Control will oversee the quality assurance and quality control processes, ensuring that all products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Control team and oversee all quality-related activities from raw material inspection to final product delivery.
• Ensure strict compliance with API 6D, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 standards.
• Supervise in-process and final inspections including hydrostatic tests, NDT, and dimensional checks.
• Manage customer and third-party inspections; coordinate audit responses and documentation.
• Monitor and drive quality KPIs (rejection, rework, complaints, etc.) and lead root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Maintain calibration schedules and ensure all testing equipment meets required standards.
• Prepare and maintain documentation and represent the department for audits, certifications, and internal reviews.
• Train, mentor, and manage the QC team to improve skills and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in quality control, in valve or heavy engineering manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of API 6D, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 standards.
• Experience in handling third-party inspections and quality audits.
• Proficiency in quality tools and systems (NDT, root cause analysis, CAPA, 5 Whys, etc.)
• Leadership ability with excellent communication and documentation skills.
