Head of Procurement

As the Sourcing & Procurement Head, your role will involve overseeing timely sourcing, efficient vendor management, accurate inventory planning, and cost-effective product development. You should be process-driven, detail-oriented, and possess a strong background in managing procurement operations in a structured environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Sourcing & Procurement** - Ensure timely procurement of materials aligned with production requirements - Prepare and process purchase/work orders following SOP and authorization matrix - Efficiently manage replacements for rejected materials - Ensure proper reconciliation and compliance for job work procurement - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on procurement needs - Negotiate prices and specifications with vendors for contracts and services - **Vendor Management & Development** - Conduct financial and performance evaluations of vendors to assess risk and capability - Maintain vendor evaluation records and conduct regular performance reviews - Identify and onboard new or alternative vendors based on business requirements - **Inventory Management** - Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy for improved planning - **Product Development** - Support the development of alternative products that enhance quality and reduce costs - **MIS & Reporting** - Respond promptly to procurement-related queries from other departments - Generate MIS reports covering key procurement metrics, POs, inventory, trends, etc. - Drive procurement automation for enhanced efficiency and transparency Your desired profile should include a BE/B.Tech degree from a Tier 1 College with a minimum of 12+ years of experience in Raw Material Procurement. Ideally, you should have an industry understanding of the petrochemical value chain and commercials.,
