Head of Procurement

You will be responsible for overseeing sourcing and procurement activities to ensure timely acquisition of materials, efficient vendor management, accurate inventory planning, and cost-effective product development. The ideal candidate for the role of Sourcing & Procurement Head should possess strong process-driven skills, attention to detail, and a solid background in managing procurement operations within a structured environment. Your main responsibilities will include: - Sourcing & Procurement: You will be required to procure materials in a timely manner according to production needs, process purchase/work orders following standard operating procedures (SOP) and authorization matrix, manage replacements for rejected materials, ensure proper reconciliation and compliance for job work procurement, collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on procurement requirements, and negotiate prices and specifications with vendors for contracts and services. - Vendor Management & Development: Conduct financial and performance evaluations of vendors to assess risk and capability, maintain vendor evaluation records, conduct regular performance reviews, and identify and onboard new or alternative vendors based on business needs. - Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, ensure stock accuracy for improved planning, and support the development of alternative products aimed at enhancing quality and reducing costs. - MIS & Reporting: Respond promptly to procurement-related inquiries from other departments, generate management information system (MIS) reports covering key procurement metrics, purchase orders (POs), inventory, trends, etc., and drive procurement automation initiatives for enhanced efficiency and transparency. The desired profile for this role includes a BE/B.Tech degree from a Tier 1 College with a minimum of 12+ years of experience in Raw Material Procurement. It is essential for the candidate to have a good understanding of the petrochemical value chain and commercials within the industry.,
