Job Description

Objective: The Head of Portfolio Strategy is responsible for evaluating, restructuring, and optimizing the product portfolio to drive the company's success. This role entails strategic analysis, realignment of products across business units, and planning for new product launches aligned with the companys long-term goals. The position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to assess product performance, identify growth opportunities, and recommend strategies to maximize value. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage portfolio restructuring projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgets. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for the smooth execution of restructuring initiatives. Prepare and present detailed project plans, financial models, and business cases to senior leadership. Conduct in-depth analyses of the current pharmaceutical product portfolio, assessing performance, market potential, and strategic alignment. Identify underperforming products and recommend a strategic roadmap. Monitor industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes to inform portfolio decisions. Develop and execute strategies for portfolio optimization. Collaborate with R&D, marketing, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment of restructuring strategies with company goals. Lead strategic initiatives to reallocate resources to high-value segments and innovative products. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills: Masters Degree in Business Administration or a related field. Minimum of 15 years of experience in portfolio restructuring or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry or pharmaceutical consulting. Proven track record of leading successful portfolio restructuring or optimization initiatives.
