Job Description

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Liaising with suppliers and Transport companies.
  • Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt and dispatch of goods.
  • Recommend a viable budget that ensures optimum excellence in service.
  • Developoperational strategies to ensure excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Planning and controlling change.
  • Managing quality assurance programmes.
  • Researchingnew technologiesand alternative methods of efficiency.
  • Setting and reviewing budgets and managing cost.
  • Overseeing inventory, distribution of goods and facility layout.
  • The constant use of Red sky in planning, budgeting and forecasting operational trends.
  • Organizing the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress.
  • Motivating and encouraging teamwork, within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
  • Maintaining standards of Health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment. Ex: Ensure that shipments are stored safely.
  • All vendor invoices are checked and approved within set time.
  • Utilize Redsky as the primary tool for warehouse Management.
  • Ensure process are driven as prescribed by Process Manual (ISO9001:2000/14001:2004/OHSAS:2004).

Education and Background

  • Business degree or related professional qualification.
  • Experience in all aspects of planning and implementing sales strategy.
  • Technical sales skills
  • Proven experience in customer relationship management
  • Experience in managing and directing a sales team
  • Relevant product and industry knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving.
  • Team-leadership.
  • Formal presentation skills.
  • Any Service Industry/Logistics Industry/Relocation Industry
  • A minimum of 8 to 12 years experience in the same role. 
  • Preferably from within logistics or similar industry
  • Candidates who can join on immediate basis will be given preference
