Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the overall operational strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Collaborate with senior management to define the strategic direction and make informed decisions on resource allocation and process improvements.
  • Process Management: Optimize operational processes to maximize efficiency, productivity, and quality. Identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and streamline workflows to enhance overall operational performance.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of operational staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and support. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork, professional growth, and high performance.
  • Resource Allocation: Determine the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and budgets, to meet operational requirements effectively. Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as needed to optimize productivity and cost-effectiveness.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key result areas (KRAs) and metrics to measure operational performance. Regularly monitor and analyse operational data, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management. Identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Risk Management: Identify operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement and monitor risk management protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, marketing, and human resources, to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of operational activities. Foster effective communication and collaboration across teams to optimize overall organizational performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the operations team. Encourage innovation, creativity, and the implementation of new technologies or methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Crisis Management: Develop contingency plans and lead the operations team during crises or unforeseen events that may impact business operations. Ensure business continuity and develop strategies to minimize disruptions. To be able to handle the issues and go to the root cause of the problem and generate solutions. To take necessary steps to changes the process if required and implement.
  • IT Management: Should have knowledge of information technology systems, including hardware, software, and networks, to ensure they operate efficiently and align with operations management. Give suggestions and opinions about the requirements if any for improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in operations management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Sound knowledge of operational processes and best practices.
  • Analytical mind-set with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • 10+years of experience in finance / NBFC company
