Job Description

As the Lead Internal Audit and Risk Strategy for a Leading Global Organization, your main responsibilities will include: - Ensuring the implementation of internal audit scope and developing annual plans - Obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts, etc. - Preparing and presenting reports that reflect audit's results and document processes - Providing significant findings on internal auditing engagements to the management regularly - Maintaining current knowledge of laws and regulations, keeping abreast of recent changes, and ensuring compliance - Identifying potential areas for cost savings through cost control, rationalization, and business process re-engineering - Leading the function as an independent adviser to ensure validity, legality, and goal achievement - Methodically documenting work plans, testing results, conclusions, and recommendations, and ensuring follow-up on findings and corrective actions - Carrying out or supervising forensic and/or fraud reviews when necessary - Engaging in continuous knowledge development regarding sector rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards - Establishing and assigning departmental goals to team members and evaluating their performance Core Competencies required for this role include: - Risk Mitigation and Conflict Management - Formulating Strategies and Concepts - Entrepreneurial and Commercial Thinking - Creating and Innovating - Leading and Supervising - Deciding and Initiating Action - Work and Team Management - Adapting and Responding to Change The ideal candidate for this position is an accomplished Chartered Accountant (preferably with CIA certification) with 15-20 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, and compliance. You should possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking abilities, a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities, and the capacity to influence senior stakeholders and the Board while leading a high-performing audit team.
