Head of Design Department

As a Senior Jewelry Designer, your primary responsibilities will involve setting the creative vision and design philosophy for the brand. This includes developing seasonal design calendars, concept boards, and themes while staying abreast of global trends, cultural influences, and materials to inspire design direction. Your role will also entail the creation of unique, trend-forward, and brand-aligned jewelry collections. In addition to design responsibilities, you will be tasked with leading and managing a team of jewelry designers and CAD professionals. Providing creative guidance, technical feedback, and conducting performance reviews will be essential aspects of your role. Furthermore, you will be expected to foster skill development and innovation within the design team. Collaboration with merchandising, production, and marketing teams is critical to ensure the feasibility of designs and alignment with pricing, target audience, and production capabilities. Timely delivery of collections and custom design projects will be a key focus area. Customizing designs for key clients, premium markets, and special projects will be part of your role in maintaining a balance between creativity and commercial viability. The ideal candidate for this position would have 5-8 years of experience, with prior experience in managing a team of designers. A background from NIFT is preferred. Deep knowledge of jewelry trends, materials, techniques, and traditional/modern aesthetics is essential. Proficiency in design tools such as CorelDRAW, Rhino, and Matrix is required. Strong sketching, visualization, and design presentation skills are crucial. Exceptional leadership, communication, and time management skills are necessary, along with attention to detail and a firm grasp of luxury design and branding principles.,
