Eligibility Criteria
1. Academic Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering or relevant discipline from a recognized university/institution.
2. Experience
- Teaching/Research/Industry Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching/research/industry in the field of Computer Science and Engineering.
- Out of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent.
- Administrative Experience:
- Proven experience in academic administration such as Program Coordinator, Department Coordinator, or similar leadership roles is preferred.
3. Research and Publications
- A strong academic record with publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Guidance of M.Tech./Ph.D. students will be considered an added advantage.
- Experience in funded research projects or consultancy work is desirable.
4. Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with accreditation processes (NBA, NAAC) and curriculum development.
- Ability to foster industry collaboration and drive innovation in the department.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Academic Leadership
- Provide academic leadership to the department in teaching, research, and curriculum development.
- Oversee the development and implementation of academic programs, ensuring alignment with industry trends and accreditation standards.
- Promote innovative and effective teaching methodologies.
- Encourage faculty development and participation in academic conferences, workshops, and seminars.
2. Curriculum Development and Review
- Lead periodic review and update of the curriculum to incorporate emerging technologies and industry needs.
- Ensure that program outcomes and objectives align with national education frameworks and accreditation bodies like NBA/NAAC.
- Facilitate the integration of interdisciplinary courses and soft skills into the program.
3. Faculty Management
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff within the department.
- Plan faculty workload, class schedules, and course assignments.
- Encourage faculty research, consultancy, and publication efforts.
- Identify faculty training and development needs and organize relevant programs.
4. Student Development
- Monitor student academic performance and provide strategies for improvement.
- Oversee student counseling, mentoring, and placement support.
- Promote co-curricular and extracurricular activities related to the field.
- Address student grievances and disciplinary matters fairly and efficiently.
5. Research and Development
- Promote research culture within the department.
- Facilitate project proposals for funded research from government and private bodies.
- Encourage faculty and students to publish in reputed journals and participate in conferences.
- Build industry-academia linkages for collaborative research.
6. Administration and Planning
- Prepare departmental budgets and manage resources effectively.
- Oversee laboratory facilities, equipment maintenance, and infrastructure development.
- Maintain departmental documentation, reports, and accreditation records.
- Organize departmental meetings and maintain transparent communication.
7. Industry and External Engagement
- Establish and nurture relationships with industry for internships, projects, placements, and guest lectures.
- Organize industrial visits, workshops, hackathons, and technical seminars.
- Engage alumni for knowledge sharing and support in department development.
8. Quality Assurance and Accreditation
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance processes and regulatory norms (AICTE, UGC, NBA, NAAC, etc.).
- Lead the preparation of reports and documentation for academic audits and accreditations.
- Monitor and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the department.
9. Strategic Development
- Contribute to the vision and mission planning of the institution.
- Identify new growth areas like AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and incorporate them into programs.
- Develop strategies for increasing student enrollment and improving department ranking.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
