Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Head – Compensation & Benefits will be responsible for designing and leading the organization’s total rewards strategy, ensuring competitiveness, internal equity, compliance, and alignment with business goals. The role will oversee compensation structures, benefits programs, performance-linked pay, job evaluation, and governance frameworks at enterprise scale.



What You'll be doing:

Compensation Strategy & Design

  • Develop and implement compensation philosophy and frameworks aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead annual salary review, market benchmarking, and compensation surveys to ensure competitiveness.
  • Drive design and implementation of short-term and long-term incentive programs (STI, LTI, ESOPs).
  • Ensure internal equity and pay-for-performance culture through robust frameworks.

Benefits Management

  • Design and manage employee benefits programs, including health, insurance, retirement, and wellness plans.
  • Evaluate and optimize benefits offerings for cost-effectiveness and employee value.
  • Partner with vendors, insurers, and brokers to negotiate and manage contracts.

Performance & Rewards

  • Align performance management outcomes with compensation frameworks.
  • Provide analytics, dashboards, and insights to support leadership decisions on pay and rewards.
  • Ensure communication and change management for reward-related initiatives.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to statutory compliance, tax laws, and global/local regulatory frameworks.
  • Establish governance processes and controls around compensation and benefits.
  • Provide counsel to leadership on reward policies and practices.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to deliver tailored rewards solutions.
  • Lead and mentor the C&B team, building expertise and capability.
  • Collaborate with Talent Management, TA, and L&D to deliver holistic people strategy.



Requirements:

  • 15–20 years of progressive HR experience with strong specialization in Compensation & Benefits.

  • Proven expertise in compensation design, benefits strategy, and global reward practices.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and benchmarking skills.
  • Experience in handling complex reward structures across multiple geographies preferred.
  • MBA / Postgraduate in HR from a reputed institute.
