The Head of Media & Public Relations will lead efforts to craft, execute, and oversee the organizations/ Clients public image and communications strategy. The role requires exceptional expertise in media relations, crisis management, and PR campaign execution. This position is crucial for ensuring that our projects and narratives resonate with the intended audience.

Responsibilities:

Media Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive media strategies to enhance visibility.
Press Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media outlets, ensuring accurate and timely coverage.
Content Oversight: Review and approve press releases, statements, and media content to maintain alignment with strategic goals.
Event Management: Coordinate press events, conferences, and media briefings to maximize outreach.
Crisis Communication: Act as the primary spokesperson during high-stakes situations, managing narratives to protect the organizations reputation.
Team Leadership: Supervise the media team, providing mentorship and ensuring productivity, while liaising with other departments to ensure cross functional excellence.

Preferred Qualification:

Masters degree in mass communication, Journalism, or Public Relations.
5-6 years of experience in media relations, preferably in a political or social campaign environment.
Established network of media contacts at the national and regional levels.
Proven success in managing large-scale PR campaigns.

Minimum Qualification:

Bachelors degree in journalism, Communication, or related fields
3-4 years of experience in media and PR roles.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Tamil and English.
