Job Description

To plan, implement, and manage all public relations, media communication, and stakeholder engagement activities that enhance the companys reputation as a leader in sustainable waste management and environmental engineering solutions in India.

The role ensures transparent communication with media, government agencies, industry partners, and the public — aligning with the company’s ESG, CSR, and brand objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Media Relations & Corporate Image

  • Develop and maintain relationships with

    local, national, and trade media

    covering environment, infrastructure, and sustainability sectors.
  • Draft and distribute

    press releases, feature stories, and media kits

    on new projects, milestones, and achievements.
  • Coordinate

    press conferences, site visits, and interviews

    with company spokespersons.
  • Ensure

    positive media visibility

    and manage coverage related to tenders, contracts, and government partnerships.

2. Stakeholder & Government Communication

  • Liaise with

    municipal corporations, pollution control boards, and environmental departments

    to share project updates and CSR initiatives.
  • Draft official letters, communication notes, and presentations for

    government meetings, PPP tenders, and investor reviews

    .
  • Support

    public outreach programs

    to educate citizens about scientific waste management and sustainability.

3. Branding & Public Awareness

  • Plan and execute

    PR campaigns

    showcasing the company’s environmental impact, innovation, and community initiatives.
  • Support

    CSR and sustainability communication

    , including preparation of annual ESG reports and case studies.
  • Create

    content for brochures, newsletters, videos, and social media

    highlighting successful project implementations.

4. Crisis Communication

  • Manage the company’s response to

    public complaints, environmental incidents, or media queries

    .
  • Prepare

    crisis communication protocols

    and ensure consistent, accurate messaging.
  • Monitor social media and news for

    reputation risks

    and initiate corrective actions.

5. Digital & Social Media Communication

  • Manage official

    LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube

    handles of the company.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to design

    digital content

    (posts, infographics, videos).
  • Track

    engagement analytics

    and prepare monthly communication performance reports.

6. Internal & Investor Communication

  • Prepare

    internal newsletters, success stories, and employee updates

    .
  • Assist in

    investor communication

    , project fact sheets, and presentation decks.
  • Support management during

    public events, exhibitions, and industry conferences

    .

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong

    written and verbal communication

    in English (Tamil / Hindi proficiency an added advantage).
  • Excellent

    media and public handling skills

    .
  • Knowledge of

    waste management, recycling, ESG, and environmental engineering

    concepts.
  • Strategic thinking, attention to detail, and crisis-management ability.
  • Proficiency in

    MS Office, Canva, and social media management tools

    .
  • Networking with

    environmental journalists, sustainability forums, and government communication officers

    .

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate / Post-Graduate in

    Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Environmental Studies, or Business Administration

    .
  • 3–8 years

    of experience in

    PR, Corporate Communications, or Media Relations

    , preferably in
    • Environmental engineering
    • Infrastructure / Waste management / EPC sectors
    • Government or PPP-based projects

  • Quality and frequency of positive media coverage.
  • Improvement in brand perception and stakeholder engagement.
  • Timely communication during project launches and crises.
  • Growth of digital and social media presence.
  • Accuracy and professionalism of all outgoing communication.
