Head - Marketing

Role Purpose :

To lead the overall marketing function, drive brand growth, customer acquisition, and retention through strategic, data-driven initiatives, and ensure strong collaboration with sales, product, and digital teams. The role is accountable for manpower development, budgeting, marketing assets, campaign execution, and aligning marketing performance with business goals.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Manpower (Team Leadership & Development)

• Define organizational structure and workforce planning for the marketing function.
• Identify and groom future leaders through robust succession planning.
• Build a positive, performance-driven culture within the team.
• Ensure timely performance reviews, capability building, and skill development.
• Strengthen cross-functional collaboration with sales, digital, product, and operations teams.
• Ensure discipline, employee well-being, and adherence to company policies.

2. Money (Budgeting & Marketing ROI)

• Develop and manage the annual marketing budget (ATL, BTL, Digital).
• Allocate budgets efficiently across campaigns and channels.
• Lead negotiations and contracts with agencies, partners, and vendors.
• Implement cost-control measures without affecting brand impact.
• Coordinate with finance for budgeting, approvals, and reporting.
• Track and analyze marketing ROI, campaign effectiveness, and business impact.

3. Material (Marketing Assets & Tools Management)

• Approve and manage marketing materials (print, digital, POSM, branding).
• Maintain strong brand guidelines and ensure quality execution across assets.
• Maintain a repository of reusable creatives and marketing templates.
• Oversee CRM, automation platforms, analytics tools, and digital integrations.
• Coordinate with IT/Operations for digital tools and system enhancements.
• Ensure timely procurement and availability of promotional materials.

4. Marketing Strategy & Execution

• Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies across ATL, BTL, and Digital channels.
• Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and trend analysis.
• Lead product launches, brand campaigns, and promotional activities.
• Drive digital marketing, social media, and e-commerce integrations.
• Monitor consumer behaviour and enhance customer engagement initiatives.
• Measure campaign outcomes and refine future campaigns based on insights.
• Represent the company in public/media events when required.

5. Management & Business Alignment

• Align marketing objectives with the company strategic growth agenda.
• Participate in leadership reviews, business planning, and board-level presentations.
• Manage agency partnerships, vendor contracts, and external collaborations.
• Ensure legal, statutory, and ethical compliance in all marketing communications.
• Serve as a key representative of the marketing function for all corporate forums.
