About The Role
The team defines best in class KPI standards and collaborates with various cross functional teams to implementthe overall service strategy to enhance end to end customer experience. They are responsible for providinguninterrupted and provide smooth services and ensure all network elements keep operating on 24X7 basis with“Zero” downtime. To minimize operating cost through control minimum outages of all business Access NetworkGroup (ANG) and Mobility Network Group (MNG) increasing company’s revenue which further enhancecompanies market capital, It acts as an eye of the health of network services and bridging the gaps to ensurethat every customer has a “wow” experience @ airtel.Key ResponsibilitiesWith your strategic direction, you align the team to keep business well updated on the network health,strength, weakness, potential opportunities and also to align the KPIs and network improvement activities withbusiness expectation.
- With sound people management skills, you collaborate with various strategic partners to achieve the set
KPIs by ensuring the timely upkeep the network availability to be better than 99.95%, uptime for the mobility
sites to be maintained as per agreed SLA, uptime for ANG network elements like core switch, DSL and SDH/FixedBroadband Access/IWAN/FTTB, inter – intra city fiber and transmission network. Further, you ensure timely anderror free closure of various signoffs with strategic partners and schedule meetings and improvements to bebought in the agreed KPI’s as per Managed Serviced Agreement (MSA). You create awareness among internalteams and trigger proper contractual classes like debit note, exclusion criteria etc, with all partners andtechnology.
- You work in close coordination with the business to ensure process being strictly followed, ensure monthly
site visits and conduct internal audits and ensure the gaps are addressed. Monthly audits at Back Bone (BB)
sites by quality auditors, Maintaining and sustaining TL9000. You will also track timely renewals of AnnualMaintenance Contracts (AMC) agreements with service partners and vendors to ensure seamless networkfunctionality.
- With a customer oriented approach, you always keep the network KPIs in control, benchmark best
practices and incorporate the best possible to deliver best in class experience to customers.
- With special focus on Network OPEX, Preparing annual operating expense projections in line with business
objectives guidelines at start of year. Regular monitoring of various expenses through structured reports,analysis of reports is done and then the action plan is prepared to reduce expenses, reducing repair andmaintenance cost through reduction measures, you will also closely work on energy cost at airtel owned sitesand opex reduction measures per site opex to be driven with infrastructure providers. the data KPIs andcustomer experience, you drive various internal network teams & business teams for implementing winningsolutions and features. The major chunk of this cost is Diesel and Electricity expenses, it is being controlledthrough implementation of certain daily monitoring systems and ensuring vendors follow the guideline given byus.
Experience & Skills
- Sign off on all Services, exclusions and approvals.
- Dedicated solution management.
- Strong knowledge of Active and Passive Infra
- Partner management skills under Managed Services environment
- Strong analytical skills
- 13+ years of relevant experience with majority being in the telecom industry
- A recognized bachelor degree in engineering and Post-graduation
