Role Summary

Tailorworks Company is seeking a highly experienced Head Designer to lead our wedding and occasionwear division. This individual will manage a team of designers and directly work with premium clients to deliver bespoke bridal and event ensembles. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in wedding couture, embroidery, and luxury garment construction, with hands-on expertise in handling high-end clients and crafting exclusive wedding wardrobes.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Direction & Styling

• Lead the design and development of bridal and occasionwear collections

• Turn client briefs into refined sketches, embroidery layouts, and lookbooks

• Curate bridal trousseaus and complete wedding wardrobes

• Blend cultural richness with modern sophistication in every design

Client Consultations & Personal Styling

• Personally meet clients to understand their requirements and vision

• Guide them on fabric, color, embroidery, and silhouette choices

• Conduct detailed fittings and coordinate the entire design journey

• Ensure every garment reflects the client’s personality and event needs

Team & Workflow Management

• Lead a team of designers and artisans to deliver on timelines and quality

• Oversee construction techniques, fabric selections, and embroidery planning

• Maintain high standards of precision, finishing, and garment structure

• Manage the full lifecycle from concept to final trial

Embroidery & Fabric Expertise

• Strong command over bridal hand embroideries like zardozi, resham, aari, mukaish, etc.

• Work confidently with luxury fabrics such as silk, velvet, net, tulle, and organza

• Source and curate exclusive textiles, hand-dyed or handwoven when needed

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5–8 years of professional experience in wedding couture or luxury occasionwear

• Proven ability to design for weddings and high-profile events

• Deep understanding of Indian couture, embroidery styles, and construction techniques

• Excellent communication, team leadership, and client relationship skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects with poise and precision
