About the Role

Senior Engineering Leader

Key Responsibilities

People Leadership

• Lead and mentor engineering teams across Node.js, Python, Vue.js, and MySQL stacks. Devops tasks on deployment and provision of applications and infrastructure. Vendor management for IT operations,
• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and high performance.
• Manage team capacity, performance reviews, hiring, and growth planning.
  

Technical Leadership

• Oversee system design reviews, architectural discussions, and ensure robust engineering practices.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and performance.
• Drive best practices in software development and DevOps (CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability) and IT operations.
  

Delivery & Execution

• Own engineering delivery for key modules and services with defined SLAs.
• Coordinate with Product, QA, Partner/Vendor teams and Business teams to ensure alignment and timely releases.
• Implement project tracking and engineering metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  

DevOps , Cloud & IT infra Oversight

• Guide the DevOps team in managing AWS cloud infrastructure (EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, etc.).
• Ensure high uptime, security compliance, monitoring, and cost efficiency of cloud operations.
• Lead incident resolution, root cause analysis, and implement proactive fixes.
• Work with Vendor teams to oversee the IT infrastructure of Laptops, networking, managing google workspace etc.
  

Customer & Support Enablement

• Collaborate with Customer Support to resolve engineering-related tickets and production issues.
• Ensure readiness and support for scheduled product releases and migrations.
  Drive automation and self-healing strategies for frequent support issues.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 12+ years of overall experience with 3+ years managing mid-sized engineering teams (1520 members).
• Proven experience working in a regulated domain (NBFC/Fintech preferred).
• Hands-on experience in system architecture, RESTful APIs, and modern cloud-native environments.
• Strong delivery orientation with an eye on engineering quality, speed, and maintainability.
• Comfortable managing dev and infra teams together, ensuring close collaboration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  

Nice to Have

• Exposure to financial services compliance (e.g., RBI, ISO27001).
• Experience with observability tools and security practices in a cloud setup.
• Past experience working with Agile and SLA-driven product delivery.
