Your main tasks include architecting and coding the first scalable version of the booking portal, routing engine, mobile-first CRM, and operational dashboard. You will also contribute directly to the codebase, setting the standard for engineering excellence and coding culture. In terms of backend architecture and microservices strategy, you will lead using tools like Go, Node.js, Kafka, Postgres, Redis, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Additionally, you will coordinate the API strategy across frontend (React), mobile (React Native), and edge interfaces utilizing GraphQL and gRPC contracts. Collaboration with frontend engineers on React-based interfaces and working closely with mobile engineers on React Native will be part of your responsibilities. You will oversee API versioning, mobile/web contract integrity, and cross-platform interface stability. Ensuring observability, tracing, and proactive alerting across the platform will also fall under your ownership. Your role will involve designing and implementing scalable, resilient, and modular backend architectures, transitioning from monolith to microservices. You will champion CI/CD pipelines, zero-downtime deploys, infrastructure as code, and rollback safety protocols. Setting and upholding engineering SLAs and SLOs will be essential to maintain high system performance levels. Driving the integration of AI/ML into operational workflows, collaborating with data and product teams to deploy models, and ensuring infrastructure supports scalable ML workflows and retraining cycles will be part of your responsibilities. You will also implement secure coding practices, enforce API security, and champion system performance tuning, cost optimization, and scalability testing. As a leader, you will hire, mentor, and grow engineers across various specializations. Creating a culture of autonomy, excellence, ownership, and rapid iteration will be crucial. Collaboration with Product, Design, Ops, and CX to shape the roadmap, triage bugs, and ship high-impact features will also be part of your role. In terms of qualifications, you should have technical depth with a proven track record of designing, building, and scaling complex software systems. Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language and experience with relevant frameworks and databases are required. Architectural acumen, hands-on experience, AI/ML exposure, leadership, mentorship, and problem-solving skills are also essential for this role.,
