Job Description

The purpose of this role is to develop and implement a robust industrial relations strategy for Pharma businesses in India and outside India locations EXPERIENCE: 15+ years of work experience in the field of HR Relevant experience of min 8 years in managing industrial relations in multiple sites/locations and in the unionized set ups SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Sound knowledge of all labor laws applicable in manufacturing service organizations and awareness of related judgments case laws Ability to deal with multiple labor unions and contract labor management team Strategic thinking to devise plans/programs for building strong industrial relations Analytical ability with an eye for detail to analyze and understand compliance Excellent communication skills to aid negotiations Assertiveness for taking strong legal stands in case of any challenges Demonstrate high levels of professional ethics, ownership accountability Key Roles/Responsibilities: Core Areas 1.To develop world class Industrial Relations Communities of Excellence by creating and executing various strategies that meet the business and HR goals 2.Establish robust procedures and system for compliances by the establishments and its service providers 3.Conduct periodic audits of statutory compliances of establishments and service providers and ensure 100 implementation of audit findings 4.Monitor and ensure 100 compliance to applicable labour related laws 5.Provide a thorough employee relations consultancy service to business leaders and employees 6.Proactively forecast future industrial relations challenges, trends and conduct risk analysis 7.Guide BHRs to manage and close critical issues related to disciplinary actions or employee relations issues 8.Participate in the collective bargaining processes including terms and cost analysis to ensure the most favorable solutions 9.Establish system and have ownership to resolve employee grievances and violations situations, if any in partnership with BHRs 10.Represent company stand before statutory authorities such as Labor office, DISH etc 11.Drive and implement various government initiatives/schemes with regards to labor employment 12.Support the Total Rewards team to review, plan, and rollout new salary structures HR policies based on changes in labor laws People and Learning Areas 1.Conduct Industrial Relations and Labour Laws capability sessions for all BHRs and business leaders 2.Train and develop team members in knowledge of labor laws, negotiations, case analysis, risk analysis, consulting, and other required skills Reporting 1.Prepare and present periodic Employee Relations report to the senior management 2.Leverage HR analytics to build reporting dashboards/summaries for tracking cases, day to day operations, costs, etc Budgeting 1.Prepare and implement annual budget for the industrial relations team
