About the Role

Head – Climate Finance

Key responsibilities include:

• Design & Execute Climate Finance Strategy

  : Develop frameworks aligned with global and domestic carbon markets.

• Carbon Credit Monetization

  : Lead end-to-end projects including identification, registration, verification, and monetization under VCS, Gold Standard, CDM, and Article 6.

• Climate Finance Structuring

  : Structure instruments like

  green bonds, ESG-linked debt, and blended finance

  to mobilize capital for climate goals.

• Risk & Advisory

  : Conduct financial and climate risk assessments; guide clients, governments, and multilaterals on ESG frameworks and net-zero pathways.

• Leadership

  : Build and mentor a cross-disciplinary team of finance professionals.

• Market Engagement

  : Represent the organization in forums, policy discussions, and investor networks.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 12–15 years of experience

  in financial services, carbon markets, or sustainability consulting (flexible for strong profiles).
• Strong

  finance industry network

  (non-negotiable).
• Deep expertise in

  carbon credit monetization

  and familiarity with standards (VCS, Gold Standard, CDM, Article 6).
• Proven track record in

  financial modeling, structuring climate finance instruments, and ESG-linked products

  .
• Experience in

  team leadership, P&L ownership, business development, and project delivery

  .
• Sector exposure across

  renewable energy, energy efficiency, nature-based solutions, carbon markets, and ESG investing

  .
