We are in the process of expanding in 2 phases, First phase is 1.5 MT to 3 MT Brown field project and Second Phase from 3 MT to 10 MT Green Field Project, to ensure Vedanta’s strong footprint in steel business. Role : Head Blast Furnace Complex Qualification : B.Tech / B.E Experience : Minimum 15 Years Roles & Responsibilities: Ensure environment, health, and safety at workplace with zero harm, zero discharge and zero waste. Overall ownership of Blast Furnaces Operation and Maintenance business delivery. Responsible for ensuring availability of quality Hot Metal to SMS/DIP as per their requirement with 100% awareness of Quality Framework. Responsible for seamless co-ordination between different sections of Blast Furnace – Furnace proper, Cast House, Stoves, GCP, SGP, Stock House, PCM, LRS Responsible for ABP for Blast Furnace considering material requirement plan and ensure optimal shop loading towards timely completion of plan. Planning and budgeting for departmental activities, Capital Repair Planning, allocation of funds, guidance for optimum utilization of resources and implementation of cost techniques. Drive inventory management and cost control measures with focus on COP, Inventory of spares and energy conservation Drive measures to implement AO tools to maximise Availability and OEE. Keep safe and healthy environment by implementing VSS and VSAP modules. Meeting VFL targets. Identifying bottlenecks, suggesting schemes for debottlenecking/ improvement plans Create infrastructure, facilities & streamline process flow for hassle-free higher production. Creating a strong team and driving it to meet organisational goals. Development of people in the department and developing at least one successor for all the critical positions Knowledge Required: Knowledge of Burden distribution Knowledge of Raw Material Properties, its significance and balancing Knowledge of different section of Blast Furnace i.e. Stock House, Stoves, GCP, SGP, Pump House and Cooling etc. and its operation.
