Head Blast Furnace Complex

Role Overview: As the Head Blast Furnace Complex at ESL Steel Limited, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of Blast Furnaces. You will play a crucial role in driving the business delivery of the Blast Furnaces, maintaining high-quality Hot Metal production, and coordinating various sections of the Blast Furnace complex. Your leadership will be instrumental in planning, budgeting, inventory management, and implementing cost control measures to optimize resources and ensure timely completion of production plans. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure environment, health, and safety at the workplace with zero harm, zero discharge, and zero waste. - Own the operation and maintenance of Blast Furnaces, ensuring the availability of quality Hot Metal to SMS/DIP. - Coordinate effectively between different sections of Blast Furnace to streamline operations. - Plan and budget for departmental activities, allocate funds, and drive cost-effective techniques. - Implement measures to maximize Availability and OEE by using AO tools. - Drive inventory management, cost control, and energy conservation initiatives. - Identify bottlenecks, propose improvement plans, and create infrastructure for higher production. - Develop a strong team, nurture talent, and ensure succession planning for critical positions.
