GST Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented GST Consultant to manage Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance for the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely filing of returns, handling assessments, and providing expert guidance on GST-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end GST compliance including registrations, returns, and reconciliations
• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, etc.)
• Ensure proper classification of goods/services and input tax credit (ITC) utilization
• Handle GST audits, assessments, and departmental notices
• Provide advisory services on GST impact, structuring transactions, and tax planning
• Review GST implications on procurement, sales, and inter-state transactions
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audit purposes
• Stay updated with the latest changes in GST laws and notify the finance team accordingly
• Coordinate with clients/vendors on GST compliance and reconciliation
• Liaise with GST authorities as and when required

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in indirect taxation, especially GST
• Sound knowledge of GST laws, rules, and procedures
• Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and GST portals
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• CA Inter / CMA / Certified GST Practitioner preferred
• Experience in handling GST for a manufacturing, trading, or service organization
• Familiarity with other tax laws like TDS, Income Tax is an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
