Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Guest Service Associate (GSA) for Food Beverage Service to join our team at Grand Mercure Mysore, India. As a GSA - FB Service, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests by providing professional and efficient service.
  • Greet and welcome guests according to company standards, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Take and process guest orders accurately, providing menu recommendations and answering questions about food and beverages
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner, adhering to quality and presentation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including table setup and resetting
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and address any guest concerns or special requests
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, using the Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down for special events or functions
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and any changes in offerings
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and maintaining open communication
  • Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent qualifications
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a collaborative attitude
  • Fluency in English and Kannada (local language)
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems
  • Knowledge of menu items, food preparation techniques, and dietary restrictions
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
