1) Job Purpose:

The Website Creative Designer will assist in the design and development of the Galeries

Lafayette India website, focusing on creating a visually appealing, user-friendly, and brand-

consistent online experience. This role is ideal for someone passionate about web design, with

a keen eye for detail and a desire to work in a dynamic, luxury retail environment. You will

contribute to the design and execution of various web elements, ensuring a seamless

experience across devices, while learning from more senior designers and cross-functional

teams.

2) Job Context & Major Challenges:

The Website Creative Designer will be working alongside the creative design team and will

collaborate with the e-commerce, marketing, and development teams to deliver designs that

align with the brand's identity and business objectives. The designer will be expected to

support the development and design teams with web assets, layout, and visual elements,

while learning and applying best practices in web design.

3) Key Result Areas:

Web Design & Visual Assets Creation

 Assist in creating web pages, banners, icons, and other visual elements for the Galeries

 Ensure that all designs are aligned with the brand’s guidelines, delivering high-quality assets that reflect the luxury image of the brand.

 Skilled in Photoshop and Illustrator to effectively execute the deliverables outlined

above.

User Interface (UI) & User Experience (UX)

 Support the design of intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that enhance the website’s usability

and customer experience.

 Ensure web elements are optimized for responsive design, providing a seamless experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Collaboration & Support in Development

 Work closely with the development team to ensure that web designs are executed correctly and are technically feasible.

 Assist in updating the website with new design elements, products, and promotional materials, adhering to brand guidelines.

Assist in Web Maintenance & Updates

 Help in the ongoing maintenance and updating of the website, including seasonal design changes, product updates, and promotional campaigns.

 Ensure that the website is visually refreshed, keeping up with digital design trends and the evolving needs of the business.

Design Quality Control

 Ensure all assets are polished, optimized for web (size, format), and meet quality and technical standards for the website.

 Support the review and testing of designs for cross-browser compatibility, responsive behavior, and usability.
