We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Maintenance Department at our Volvo Group Manufacturing Facility in Hosakote, Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted operation of electrical systems, troubleshooting breakdowns, and implementing preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment, machinery, and automation systems.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and enhance equipment life.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical panels, motors, drives (VFD/Servo), PLC systems, and control circuits.
  • Monitor and ensure safe operation of HT/LT electrical systems, switchgear, and transformers.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with production, mechanical, and safety teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
  • Maintain documentation, logs, and reports as per audit and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, including LOTO procedures and electrical safety protocols.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and upgradation of new electrical equipment.
  • Work with vendors and contractors for maintenance support and spare parts management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • 2–6 years of experience in electrical maintenance (manufacturing/automotive/industrial preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, motors, and automation technologies.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting HT/LT systems, switchgear, and electrical panels.
  • Understanding of safety practices, maintenance tools, and documentation.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in shifts and handle breakdowns under pressure.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

  • Experience working in automotive or heavy manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of TPM, 5S, and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Basic understanding of SCADA/HMI systems.
  • Experience in predictive maintenance tools (thermal imaging, vibration analysis, etc.).
