GPS INSTALLATION AND SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Job Description: GPS & Humidity Sensor Installation and Service TechnicianPosition SummaryWe are looking for a skilled technician responsible for installation, servicing, and maintenance of GPS tracking devices and humidity sensors. The role also requires basic computer knowledge, including Excel reporting and professional email communication. Key Responsibilities GPS Installation & Service Install GPS tracking devices in vehicles as per company standards. Perform testing, activation, and live-status verification after installation. Diagnose and resolve GPS device issues (connectivity, wiring, signal, power). Carry out replacement, removal, and re-installation of GPS devices when required. Ensure proper wiring without damaging vehicle systems. Humidity Sensor Installation & Service Install humidity sensors at designated locations. Calibrate sensors and verify accuracy. Troubleshoot and service faulty humidity sensors. Maintain proper documentation of installation and service activities. Reporting & Documentation Maintain daily installation and service reports. Update job status, site codes, and device details in Excel sheets. Record serial numbers, IMEI, location details, and technician remarks. Share reports and updates through email in a professional manner. Coordination & Compliance Coordinate with field teams, POC, and backend support. Follow safety guidelines and company SOPs. Carry required tools, laptop, and accessories at all times. Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Required Skills & QualificationsExperience in GPS installation and vehicle electrical systems. Knowledge of humidity sensor installation and servicing. Basic to intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (data entry, basic formulas). Ability to draft and respond to professional emails. Basic knowledge of troubleshooting hardware devices. Willingness to travel and work in the field. Preferred Qualifications ITI / Diploma / Technical certification. Prior experience in telematics or IoT devices. Understanding of live tracking platforms is an added advantage.
