Job Description

Job Title: Government-Sales Manager

Location: Faridabad

About the Role:

Government Sales Professional

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across central, state, and local government bodies.
  • Drive lead generation and sales efforts across government accounts, PSUs, and smart city projects.
  • Promote IT products and solutions to institutional clients.

Tendering & Government Procurement

  • Identify, track, and participate in tenders on

    GeM, CPPP, eProcurement

    , and state procurement portals.
  • Manage tender documentation, technical and financial bid submissions, and compliance paperwork.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for pricing, technical support, and proposal submissions.

Sales Execution

  • Deliver product presentations, demos, and solution pitches to government clients.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets within the government and institutional segment.
  • Handle price negotiations, contract terms, and long sales cycles efficiently.

Account Management

  • Oversee execution of awarded contracts, delivery schedules, and payment follow-ups.
  • Maintain regular communication with procurement officers, IT departments, and system integrators.
  • Track renewals, repeat orders, and upselling opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 48 years of experience

    in government or institutional sales (IT hardware/peripherals preferred).
  • Strong understanding of

    GeM portal, government procurement norms, tendering processes

    .
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
