About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Google Merchant Center Specialist with a proven track record of successfully setting up, managing, and troubleshooting GMC accounts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in resolving suspended GMC accounts, ensuring policy compliance, and maintaining seamless product feed integrations with ecommerce platforms like Shopify. You will play a key role in keeping our feeds live, compliant, and optimized to fuel high-performance Google Shopping and Performance Max campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, verify, and successfully launch new Google Merchant Center accounts, ensuring smooth activation.
  • Handle suspended GMC accounts, resolve misrepresentation, policy violations, and data quality issues to achieve reinstatement.
  • Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot product feeds for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Google Shopping requirements.
  • Monitor and resolve product disapprovals, mismatches, and feed errors to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure product data consistency across Google Merchant Center, and Shopify.
  • Collaborate with paid media teams to align product feeds with Shopping & Performance Max campaigns.
  • Optimize titles, descriptions, categories, GTINs/MPNs, and custom attributes to improve CTR, relevance, and conversions.
  • Implement custom labels, promotions, and pricing strategies for better segmentation and targeting.
  • Track and report on KPIs (CTR, impressions, conversions, ROAS), providing actionable insights.
  • Stay up to date with Google Shopping feed specifications, updates, and policy changes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of proven experience in Google Merchant Center account management & product feed optimization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in resolving suspended GMC accounts and navigating Google policy compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify.
  • Advanced knowledge of product taxonomy, GTINs, MPNs, and custom attributes.
  • Skilled in Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience managing multichannel feeds (Facebook Catalog, Microsoft Ads, Pinterest, TikTok).
  • Google Ads or Google Shopping certification.
  • Background in DTC ecommerce growth marketing.
