Job Title: Google Analytics Specialist – eCommerce Location: Chennai / Gurgaon Job Type: Full-time Reports to: Head of Insights Job Summary: We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Google Analytics Specialist to join our eCommerce team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing analytics solutions to drive actionable insights and improve the performance of our e-commerce website. This role will play a key part in enhancing customer experience, increasing conversion rates, and maximizing ROI through data-driven decisions. Key Responsibilities: - Set up, configure, and manage Google Analytics 4 (GA4), including custom events, parameters, and enhanced eCommerce tracking. - Implement and maintain Google Tag Manager (GTM) to deploy and manage tags efficiently. - Analyze website and user behavior data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement. - Build and maintain custom dashboards and reports in Google Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio) or other visualization tools. - Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic sources, conversion rates, funnel performance, AOV, CLV, and bounce rate. - Collaborate with marketing, product, and development teams to recommend and validate A/B tests and CRO initiatives. - Provide clear, actionable reports and insights to stakeholders across marketing, product, and executive teams. - Ensure data accuracy and integrity across platforms; troubleshoot tracking issues and validate data collection processes. - Stay current with the latest updates in analytics platforms, eCommerce trends, and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field. - 3+ years of experience in web analytics, specifically for eCommerce businesses. - Expert-level knowledge of Google Analytics (especially GA4), Google Tag Manager, and Google Looker Studio. - Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools. - Experience with platforms like Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, etc - Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (SEO, PPC, email, social media). - Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations. - Familiarity with user journey mapping, CRO, and UX optimization strategies. - Experience with attribution modeling and marketing campaign performance tracking.
