Job Description

Strategic Leadership & Sales Planning

  • Take full ownership of the sales function, setting vision, goals, and priorities for sales growth.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and action plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Forecast sales, define performance benchmarks, and ensure accountability for results.

Global Sales Management

  • Own and deliver global order, revenue, margin, and pipeline targets across all regions.
  • Establish and manage an effective global sales operating rhythm, including forecasting, funnel management, and performance reviews.
  • Drive disciplined opportunity management using CRM tools, ensuring data accuracy and actionable analytics.
  • Develop and manage key account strategies for strategic customers, EPCs, OEMs, utilities, and channel partners.

Market Expansion & Business Development

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new markets, segments, and channels in line with Standex Grid - Narayan Powertech's growth ambitions.
  • Lead the set-up and scaling of sales presence in new geographies (direct, agent, or distributor models).
  • Actively engage with senior decision-makers and influencers at customer organizations to secure strategic wins and long-term agreements.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to capture voice-of-customer and translate it into product roadmap inputs

Market Analysis & Customer Relationship Management

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Drive customer engagement initiatives to enhance loyalty and retention.

Sales Performance & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue growth, bookings, and customer acquisition.
  • Identify gaps and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent achievement of targets.
  • Prepare and present detailed performance reports to AVP Commercial Head and senior leadership.

Commercial Excellence & Governance

  • Ensure robust commercial governance on pricing, terms & conditions, risk assessment, and contractual commitments.
  • Support the development of standard commercial frameworks, bid strategies, and negotiation playbooks.
  • Monitor competitive dynamics and market trends to proactively adapt sales strategies and defend/expand market share.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure reliable delivery, accurate forecasting, and healthy working capital.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team in India & globally to achieve individual and collective goals.
  • Provide training and development programs to enhance team capabilities.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and results.

Sales Operations & Process Optimization

  • Oversee end-to-end sales processes, including pipeline management and CRM utilization.
  • Implement best practices and tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and commercial guidelines.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, finance, operations) to align sales efforts with overall business strategy.
  • Engage with external stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a key liaison between the sales function and AVP Commercial Head.
