Girls Hostel Warden

Job Purpose:

To manage and oversee the overall administration, discipline, and welfare of students residing in the hostel, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and supportive residential environment that promotes academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the hostel and ensure the safety, security, and discipline of all resident students.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper maintenance of the hostel premises, including rooms, common areas, dining facilities, and bathrooms.
• Ensure timely allocation of rooms, check-in and check-out processes for students, and maintain proper records.
• Address and resolve issues related to accommodation, maintenance complaints, and conflicts among residents.
• Organize and implement programs for the well-being, discipline, and personal development of hostel residents.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, leave, disciplinary actions, and student personal files.
• Act as a liaison between students and the college administration regarding hostel-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with institutional rules and regulations, including safety and fire regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of hostel premises to ensure proper upkeep and discipline.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, security, and maintenance teams for smooth hostel functioning.
• Facilitate periodic meetings with students to address concerns, provide guidance, and communicate important announcements.
• Assist in organizing student welfare activities and support services (medical assistance, counseling, etc.).
• Prepare and submit regular reports on hostel activities, student behavior, and maintenance issues to the administration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Prior experience in hostel management, student affairs, or residential supervision preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
• Ability to handle disciplinary issues with fairness and firmness.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency handling.
