Job Summary:

The Girls Hostel Warden is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the girls' hostel within the GMR Varalakshmi Foundation. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day activities in the hostel, ensuring a safe and supportive living environment for the residents, and managing hostel staff. The Warden will maintain discipline, monitor the welfare of students, and facilitate communication between hostel residents and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the girls' hostel.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all hostel residents.
• Maintain discipline and resolve any conflicts among students.
• Coordinate with the hostel staff to maintain cleanliness, security, and orderliness.
• Oversee the accommodation process for new residents and assist with check-ins/check-outs.
• Ensure that all hostel policies and rules are followed by the residents.
• Organize and supervise recreational and extracurricular activities for the residents.
• Facilitate communication between students, faculty, and the management.
• Provide a point of contact for residents in case of emergencies or concerns.
• Maintain records related to the students' stay, including attendance, permission slips, and incident reports.
• Monitor the overall health and hygiene of the hostel, including facilities and living spaces.
• Assist with the preparation of reports and documentation as required by the reporting.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum qualification –: 12th Grade.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hostel or educational institution setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Knowledge of basic hostel management and student welfare practices.
• Proactive and responsible attitude towards managing the hostel environment.
• Basic knowledge of first-aid and emergency procedures is an advantage.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred Attributes:

• Previous experience in handling hostel-related issues or working with students.
• Good leadership and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently when required.

Working Hours:

• Full-time, including occasional evenings and weekends depending on hostel activities.

Salary:

• Competitive salary based on experience.
