Job Description

Geotechnical Engineer

This role involves field investigations, laboratory testing coordination, geotechnical analysis, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on infrastructure and construction projects.

Plan and supervise field investigations such as soil borings, test pits, geophysical surveys, and in-situ testing (SPT, CPT, etc.).
Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater data to determine engineering properties and assess suitability for construction.
Provide geotechnical design input for foundations (shallow/deep), retaining walls, slopes, embankments, earthworks, and ground improvement techniques.
Prepare geotechnical reports, design summaries, risk assessments, and construction recommendations.
Oversee laboratory testing programs for soil and rock samples to determine bearing capacity, permeability, compaction, and shear strength.
Work with civil, structural, environmental, and construction teams to integrate geotechnical solutions into overall project design.
Provide geotechnical guidance during construction, including foundation inspections, slope stability monitoring, and issue resolution.
Ensure compliance with local codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, Eurocode).
