Job Description

The General Manager of Sales is responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve the companys business objectives. This role involves managing the sales team, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. We are seeking an accomplished professional who can spearhead our customer acquisition and revenue growth goals. The role may entail designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands companys customer base and ensure its strong presence.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement growth and corrective actions when necessary.
  • Implement proactive measures to increase walk-ins and convert leads to sales.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly during product demonstrations and maintain a high level of visitor business satisfaction.

Recruitment and Training

  • Oversee the recruitment and retention of talented individuals within the sales and operations teams.
  • Ensure smooth and successful conduction of training initiatives to onboard and develop sales staff, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and product knowledge.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment to enhance employee satisfaction and performance.

Operational Oversight

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the sales team, ensuring efficiency and adherence to established processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall organizational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.

Reporting

  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and key performance indicators.
  • Present updates and insights to the Managing Director and the President of the company.
  • Compile and submit routine reports on sales performance, market trends, and other pertinent metrics to the executive team.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Adequate foresight and a winners attitude!
  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in a retail or customer-facing environment. In-depth knowledge of sales strategies, marketing, and customer service.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to drive results.
  • Experience in collaborating with marketing agencies is a plus.
  • Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, or any field.
