As the General Manager - Sales at D.K. Industries under the "Shagun Gold" brand, you will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing our sales operations. Your responsibilities will include setting strategic sales goals, managing the sales team, and driving business growth in regional and international markets. This senior leadership position requires a focus on revenue growth, market expansion, and effective team management. Your key responsibilities will involve developing and implementing the overall sales strategy to achieve revenue goals, leading sales planning for different regions, and identifying new market opportunities. You will collaborate with the senior leadership team to align sales goals with business objectives. Managing and mentoring the sales team, including Zonal Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers, and Sales Officers, will be essential to ensure they meet their targets. Providing strategic guidance, support, and training to enhance the team's performance and fostering a culture of accountability and high performance are crucial aspects of this role. You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand the Shagun Gold brand in new geographical areas and market segments. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners will be vital to increase sales and brand presence. Monitoring industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to ensure the company stays competitive is also part of your role. Regularly tracking sales performance, analyzing sales data, and providing detailed reports and insights to the management team are essential for making informed decisions. Additionally, you will manage the sales budget effectively to maximize ROI, optimize resources to meet sales targets within budget constraints, and work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and campaigns. Ensuring consistent brand messaging and alignment across all sales and marketing activities is crucial for boosting product visibility and sales. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, with an MBA being a plus. You should have 8-10 years of sales experience, preferably in the Beauty & Cosmetics industry, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role. A proven track record of successfully leading and scaling sales teams, a strong understanding of national and international sales channels in the personal care/beauty industry, and excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills are required. Your skills should include in-depth knowledge of the Beauty & Cosmetics market and consumer preferences, the ability to build and maintain relationships with distributors, clients, and internal stakeholders, proficiency in sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis, as well as experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
