Job Description

Job Title: General Manager – PV Projects Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh (and covering the Central India region). Job Purpose To serve as the business head for PV Projects in the Central India region , focused on rooftop solar sales to commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. To recruit, train, and lead the rooftop solar team in the region in coordination with marketing, maximizing their sales effectiveness. To take complete responsibility for lead generation, sales, collections, installation, and servicing of rooftop solar projects in the region. Principal Accountabilities Sell rooftop solar projects greater than 100 kWp capacity. Recruit the regional rooftop solar sales team with the support of HR and drive results. Continuously build and train the sales team to enhance productivity and effectiveness. Develop a network of channel partners in key target areas of Madhya Pradesh and Central India . Conduct impact assessments with existing customers to generate referrals. Collaborate with marketing to organize events with industry associations to ensure strong lead generation. Work closely with the in-house finance team to extend credit support to SMEs for rooftop solar projects. Identify potential project customers, convert them into qualified leads, close orders, and manage collections. Ensure receivables are kept under 60 days and that outstanding payments are collected on time. Collaborate with the COO and Head of Technical on system design, providing accurate inputs for technical drawings and commercial proposals. Liaise with the technical team to ensure smooth installation and after-sales service. Take full ownership of project planning and execution, ensuring timely and successful delivery. Coordinate with the HQ team to adhere to timelines and quality benchmarks for each project. Experience Required 10 to 15 years of experience in techno-commercial B2B sales , preferably in infrastructure or renewable energy. Prior experience in the solar industry is strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing B2B sales teams. Proven ability to manage a region or vertical with P&L accountability. Experience in managing large-scale projects and key accounts across geographies. Strong leadership skills to inspire the Central India team and effectively collaborate with the HQ leadership. Excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of representing the company professionally. MBA is a plus, but not mandatory. Show more Show less
