General Manager Production

As a Production Lead for home textile goods, your role involves overseeing the end-to-end production process, starting from product/process research and sourcing, through vendor management, order planning, execution, and timely dispatch. You will work closely with the Purchase and Merchandising teams to ensure on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery at the desired quality and cost. Key Responsibilities: - Order and Production Planning: Create TNA calendars, MRP, and capacity loading schedules. Monitor and adjust plans daily to remove bottlenecks and ensure preventive maintenance. - Purchase Coordination: Convert production plans into indents/POs. Follow up on fabric/yarn/trims/packaging orders and expedite critical materials. Collaborate with Merchandising for necessary changes and approvals. - Quality and Compliance: Uphold buyer standards and AQL requirements. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Ensure audit and certification compliance. - Cost and Inventory Control: Enhance yield, reduce wastage, and drive labor productivity. Optimize work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods (FG) inventory. Achieve standard cost targets. - Research and NPD: Evaluate new materials, processes, and finishes. Conduct pilot samples and validate costs and timelines. - Sourcing and Vendor Management: Identify and develop relationships with mills, process houses, and Cut-Make-Trim (CMT) units. Negotiate costs, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and lead times. Maintain vendor scorecards. - Team Leadership: Manage planners, supervisors, and quality control (QC) staff. Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/5S/Kaizen). Qualifications and Skills: - Degree/Diploma in Textile/Production/Industrial Engineering. - Extensive hands-on experience in Home Textile production. - Strong vendor network and experience in purchase coordination. - Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and excellent communication skills.,
