Costing and Estimation Manager mumbai 3 - 8 years INR 5.5 - 8.5 Lacs P.A. Work from Office Full Time

Job Description Responsible for evaluating and analyzing client requirements and preparing outline cost estimates for projects and products. To prepare detailed bill of quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for projects using CAD Software and excel. To review and validate BOQ and cost estimates provided by design team. To minimize cost of a project and enhance value for money while still achieving the required standards and quality. To prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, general conditions of contract, special conditions of contracts, etc. To prepare cost break up for individual items considering base price and associated overheads to determine appropriate unitized cost for a product or product assemblies. Qualification & Requirements Bachelors degree in interior designing or architecture. Min 03-04 years of industry relevant experience from hospitality or modular furniture. Sound working knowledge and experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks with proficiency in excel and estimating software tools. Numerical skills and Analytical skills. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the factory, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met. Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and workflows. Implement the in-house design software for the above for production and procurement. Monitor and manage production processes to ensure efficiency and productivity. Ensure the maintenance of machinery and equipment to avoid disruptions in production. Ensure the healthy, safe and clean environment for the workers at the factory along with his team. Set processes for safety, security, hygiene, production, QC, deliveries, invoicing, RMA & warranty. 2. Quality Control: Implement & oversee quality control measures to ensure products meet established standards & specifications. Follow the SOPs created at the HO for all the projects before delivery. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement. Coordinate with the quality assurance team to resolve any quality issues promptly. Coordinate with the management if any snags on the quality and take the required help before time to avoid emergencies. 3. Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate a team of production supervisors, operators, and support staff. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. 4. Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely supply of materials. Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization. 5. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards. Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety training for staff. Address any safety concerns or incidents promptly. 6. Cost Management: Develop and manage the factorys budget, ensuring cost-effective operations. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Monitor and control production costs, including labour, materials, and overhead. 7. Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the factory. Implement lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodologies. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress. 8. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, quality, and other key metrics. Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records and documentation. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering / Architecture, MBA in Business Administration preferred. Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, At least 3-5 years in a leadership role. Experience in the modular furniture, kitchen or wardrobe industry would be preferred. Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices. Proficient in production planning and inventory management. Good understanding of quality control principles and practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using designing and manufacturing software and tools for modular furniture. Working Conditions: Full-time position with standard working hours. May require additional hours during peak production periods.
