Position Overview

General Manager – Production

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership:

  Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring smooth production schedules, efficient resource utilization, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

• Process Optimization:

  Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize costs.

• Team Management:

  Lead and mentor production, maintenance, and quality teams (approx. 50 staff) to foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence.

• Quality Assurance:

  Ensure products meet company and customer quality standards through close coordination with the QC/QA departments.

• Planning & Scheduling:

  Collaborate with planning, procurement, and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and effective inventory control.

• Maintenance & Safety:

  Oversee preventive maintenance programs and promote a strong EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) culture within the plant.

• Reporting:

  Monitor KPIs, prepare regular performance reports, and present operational insights to senior management.

• Compliance:

  Ensure all operations adhere to statutory and regulatory requirements, including pollution control, factory laws, and ISO standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in

  Chemical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Production Management

  (preferred).

• 10–15 years

  of experience in chemical or allied process industries, with at least

  5 years in a senior leadership or plant head role

  .
• Proven experience managing mid-sized manufacturing teams and production facilities.
• Strong knowledge of chemical production processes, ETP operations, and safety protocols.
• Experience implementing ISO, Lean, or TPM systems preferred.
