General Manager

Bizlumina Services is hiring for an established and rapidly expanding Indian subsidiary of a reputed German group. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager/Managing Director. The ideal candidate should be a visionary leader with a proven track record of scaling businesses, driving aggressive growth, and establishing a strong market presence in India. Their product line includes surface technology products and industrial equipment catering to automotive, home appliances, agriculture, construction and transport industry. This role is a unique opportunity to build and lead a high-performing organization from a foundational stage to market leadership. The General Manger/Managing Director will be fully responsible for the P&L of the Indian subsidiary, overseeing all operational, commercial, and strategic activities in a highly competitive and dynamic environment.

Role & Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute the business strategies to drive the business growth.
• Develop and manage new and existing customers.
• Drive significant market share growth by expanding the company's footprint, customer base, and product portfolio.
• Create a roadmap for scaling the business.
• To manage the overall operations: including sales, marketing, finance, human resources, supply chain, and customer service.
• Operational Excellence and Profit Management (P&L).
• Team Leadership and Talent Development.
• Foster a dynamic and empowering work environment to boost productivity.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the key representative of the organization in India, building and nurturing relationships with strategic partners, key customers, industry associations, and government bodies.
• Engage with the Board of Directors to seek guidance, secure approvals, and ensure alignment with global and regional corporate objectives.
• Champion and promote positive company culture and act as a role model for leadership, integrity, and ethical conduct.

Target Industries:

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a senior management role, with at least 5 years as a Country Manager/Business Head or Managing Director.
• Proven track record of successfully scaling a business in the Indian market, preferably within the machinery, industrial equipment, or B2B manufacturing sector.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, financial management, and operational excellence.
• In-depth knowledge of the Indian market, business landscape, and regulatory environment.
  Strong financial literacy and P&L management skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in systems engineering of industries including surface coating, surface treatment and/or knowledge in dealing with paint and paint equipment wholesale is preferred.
• Fluent in English and Hindi (knowledge of regional language would be a plus point)
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
• Resilient, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, complex environment
