General Ledger Specialist- Hospital Accounts

General Ledger (GL) and Month-End Close activities

Role & responsibilities

• Manage

  General Ledger accounting processes

  , including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
• Lead

  month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities

  , ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Perform

  bank reconciliations

  and resolve open items by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, FP&A, Operations) to support financial reporting.
• Identify process gaps and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial close.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education:

  Bachelors/Masters degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Experience:

  68 years of experience in

  GL Accounting and Month-End Close

  within the

  Hospitality / Hotel Accounting industry

  .
• Strong working knowledge of

  Bank Reconciliation

  .
• Good understanding of

  accounting principles (US GAAP / IFRS)

  .
• Proficiency in

  ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / PeopleSoft or similar)

  and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Excellent

  analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  .
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong leadership potential with the ability to

  grow into a Team Lead role

  .
• Prior experience working with

  global hotel chains / hospitality clients

  .
• Exposure to

  multi-entity, multi-currency accounting environments

  .
• Experience in

  automation / process improvement initiatives

  .
