Role Description


Job Summary:

General Counsel / Head of Legal

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the

    Legal Department

    and provide strategic legal counsel to senior management and business units.
  • Manage and supervise all

    litigation and arbitration

    matters before various courts, tribunals, and regulatory bodies across India.
  • Draft, vet, and negotiate

    agreements, deeds, MoUs, NDAs, and contracts

    ensuring business protection and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee

    corporate compliance

    , including company law, RERA, IBC, IPR, and competition law matters.
  • Conduct

    due diligence

    and legal risk assessments for business transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Liaise with

    external counsels, law firms, and government authorities

    to safeguard the company’s interests.
  • Advice management on

    policy formulation, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution strategies.

  • Stay updated on amendments in corporate, commercial, and sectoral laws and ensure their timely implementation.

  • Deep understanding of

    Civil, Criminal, Arbitration, Insolvency, and Corporate Laws

    .
  • Expertise in

    contract management, regulatory compliance, and litigation strategy

  • Strong

    drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills

    .
  • Ability to handle

    multi-jurisdictional legal issues

    and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.


Requirements:

1. Qualifications: LL.B. and preferably an LL.M. with a valid Bar Council registration.

2. Experience: 18+ years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on contract management, litigation, and compliance.

3. Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
