As we expand our government business operations, we are looking for a GEM Portal Specialist to drive participation in tenders for surgical equipment and pharmaceuticals. Role Overview: The GEM Portal Specialist will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and executing all activities related to the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) platform, specifically for surgical instruments and pharmaceutical tenders. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with GEM, knowledge of regulatory compliance, and a deep understanding of public procurement processes in the healthcare sector. Key Responsibilities: • Manage the complete lifecycle of GeM bids: tender identification, submission, documentation, and follow-up. • Upload and manage product listings for surgical instruments and medicines. • Coordinate with internal teams for pricing, stock updates, regulatory documentation, and logistics. • Analyze tender documents and ensure compliance with all requirements. • Handle bid pricing, eligibility criteria, and product mapping as per specifications. • Track bid progress, proactively respond to clarifications, and submit technical/commercial documents. • Maintain records of awarded contracts, ongoing tenders, and renewal timelines. • Maintain supplier credibility and ensure high compliance ratings on GeM. • Liaise with government departments for queries, feedback, and follow-ups. Skills & Experience Required: ✅ Minimum 3 years experience on the GeM portal handling medical/surgical tenders. ✅ Knowledge of healthcare procurement regulations, surgical categories, and drug compliance. ✅ Strong understanding of public sector purchase processes, documentation, and eligibility norms. ✅ Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments. ✅ Strong in documentation, Excel, and reporting. ✅ Experience in managing GFR, Make in India, BIS certifications, etc., preferred.
