Job Description

As a Senior Associate in the Risk Management Services team at EY, you will play a crucial role in executing globally defined processes to safeguard EY as an independent auditor. Your work will involve assisting EY country practices across the globe in making decisions on new client acceptances and continuances, thus contributing to maintaining EY's reputation as an independent auditor. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop a strong understanding of firm-level Independence concepts and execute procedures as per EYG Independence policies. - Conduct research and evaluate procedures outlined in the standard operating model to mitigate independence-related risks. - Communicate with senior team members from audit/pursuit teams to resolve queries and gather information, aiming to become a subject matter expert in Independence processes. - Interpret clients' company structure, entity attributes, and relationships in alignment with audit client and affiliate definitions. - Utilize internal Independence tools and systems, complete/review assigned projects following standard operating procedures, and conduct secondary research using internal and external databases. - Provide insights, technical acumen, and recommendations based on research findings to enhance the engagement's execution. - Collaborate with client serving/audit/pursuit teams, share project updates, address queries, and coordinate efforts effectively. - Monitor team performance, evaluate against defined KPIs, offer constructive feedback, and mentor/coach team members for professional growth. - Manage administrative issues, maintain client-centric mindset, prioritize tasks, and uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and values. **Qualifications Required:** - Masters/post-graduate degree (preferably in Finance) from a reputed institute. - 3 - 5 years of experience in research and analysis in a professional services firm. - Exposure to client interaction would be preferred. - Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills in English. - Basic understanding of company structures, ownership structures, audit, and risk management concepts. - Proficiency in MS Office, business analytics tools like Power-BI, and navigating external databases like Capital IQ, Factiva.
