Garments Production Manager – Job Profile PS:- THE JOB IS BASED IN EAST AFRICA. The Garments Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production process in a garments manufacturing facility. This includes planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to standard quality specifications. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Execution: Develop and implement weekly and monthly production plans based on order requirements. Monitor daily production progress to ensure adherence to schedule. Coordinate with cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing departments. Specific experience of products handled on floor / factory: Having experience of stitching bottom weight, i.e., cargo paint , safari suits . This is keep keep in mind Army Uniform and heavy fabric stitching With experience of stitching export garments such as Knitted Polo neck t shirts Round neck t shirts, Gents under garment, similar to Jockey brand range Team Management: Lead and manage production supervisors, line leaders, and workers. Conduct training and performance evaluations of production staff. Ensure compliance with labor laws and workplace safety. Quality Control: Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to maintain consistent quality standards. Ensure production lines meet required quality checkpoints and standards. Resource Management: Optimize use of manpower, materials, and machines. Monitor inventory of raw materials and accessories needed for production. Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste. Introduce lean manufacturing or other best practices as appropriate. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of garment production processes (cutting, sewing, finishing, etc.). Proficiency in production planning tools and ERP systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Working Conditions: Factory floor and office-based role.
