Fund Accounting Manager

You will be working with a global investment management firm in Gurugram, holding the position of Manager / AVP / VP with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Fund Accounting or as a Controller of PE Fund/Hedge Funds/Mutual Funds/Credit Funds. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare, analyze, and share financial and operational information for the firm's various funds. Your key roles and responsibilities will include: - Managing capital call and distribution processes for the funds, including journal entries and investor allocation. - Collecting and analyzing financial data from multiple sources to prepare periodic reports for investors and stakeholders. - Calculating the fund's performance and financial position accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements. - Creating journal entries within Investran for quarterly activity and maintaining data for NAV, commitment, and uncalled commitment at the investor level. - Extracting trial balance and general ledgers for Geneva close packages during month-end close. - Preparing distribution journal entries based on the distribution tracker and recording them within the accounting system. - Generating quarterly estimates for portfolio performance and reviewing, formatting, and uploading monthly fund close entries impacting assets, liabilities, income, and expenses. - Handling regulatory filings for specific credit fund entities and preparing quarterly and annual financials per US GAAP and/or IFRS. To qualify for this role, you should ideally possess an accounting certification such as Chartered Accountant / CPA / ACCA, along with at least 5 years of experience in fund reporting, accounting, and control. Your expertise should cover fund accounting principles, accurate capital account record maintenance, preparation of financial reports for credit funds, compliance with laws and regulations, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in financial reporting software like Investran. Additionally, you should be adept at managing large datasets, handling multiple projects simultaneously, and meeting deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to have knowledge of systems/tools/applications like Geneva and Investran, along with advanced proficiency in MS Excel to excel in this role effectively.,
