Job Description – Functional Consultant (Accounting & Consolidation)
Location: Lucknow / MumbaiExperience: 1–3 yearsQualification: CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance / B.ComRole Overview:-This is a functional finance role focused on consolidation, IC elimination, reporting, and system design for enterprise clients. The candidate will own accounting interpretation, requirement gathering, and validation cycles.Key Responsibilities:-1.Lead functional scoping workshops for consolidation, eliminations, sub-ledger, and reporting.2.Translate accounting principles (IGAAP/Ind AS/IFRS basics) into system rules and business logic.3.Prepare disclosure mapping, COA alignment, and reporting templates.4.Validate IC mismatches, eliminations, NCI, goodwill, and closing-cycle adjustments.Design and execute UAT scenarios and functional test scripts.5.Collaborate with technical teams to drive accurate configuration and data flow.6.Support client workshops, presentations, and end-user training.Required Skills:-1.Deep accounting knowledge — FS prep, consolidation mechanics, IC rules.2.Working familiarity with Ind AS / IFRS preferred.Strong analytical capability for financial-data validation.3.Exposure to EPM tools (Tagetik/Hyperion/BPC) advantageous.4.Strong communication and stakeholder handling.Profile Fit:-1.CA Inter/CMA Inter with articleship in audit, reporting, or consolidation.2.MBA Finance or B.Com with 2–3 years of accounting or reporting experience.3.Structured, ambitious, and comfortable operating in a high-pressure consulting environment.
